Workshops
Clown
The foundation of all clown is play. In this workshop, participants explore the basic principles of clown by immersing themselves in the world of play and the ridiculous. In doing so, we create a safe, yet provocative, space together while exploring the joy of failure, the use of rhythm as a tool for humour, how to connect with your audience to discover what makes them laugh, how to let go and simply be in the moment, and how to support your partner when working in pairs; all with a help of a little red nose.

Mask
This is an ideal introduction to mask theatre and performance work for those with no, or little, previous mask experience. By exploring rhythm, points of focus, humour, and developing a narrative, participants are lead through the basic principles of mask theatre as both a solo performer and as part of an ensemble. Suitable for ages 12+.
Introduction to Puppetry
This is a beginners’ course designed to develop primary puppetry skills while working towards a short performance. We look at handling and manipulation, eye line, conveying emotion, finding a voice, and exploring how each puppet interacts with its environment, the puppeteer, and the audience. Suitable for ages 12+.
